Watch Amy Schumer Shut Down A Heckler During A Recent Stand-Up Show
If you think it's a good idea to heckle Amy Schumer with a sexist remark during her stand-up act, be prepared to find yourself being escorted out by security. Such was the case for some dude who thought it was a good idea to loudly request that she show the audience her lady parts. See how Amy Schumer responded to that in the video ahead...
According to the video's title, Amy Schumer was doing a show in Stockholm, Sweden. It seems like she's just getting started in her act, when some dude in the audience calls out the classic "Show us your tits" request. Schumer hit pause on her introduction to engage with the guy, asking him what he does for a living. Mr. Show-Us-Your-Tits is apparently in sales. To which Schumer replied sarcastically:
Unfazed, but also unwilling to let it go, Amy Schumer somehow manages to speak with the sweetness of a school teacher, while simultaneously calling the heckler a motherfucker, asking him what he does for a living, and then shutting him down with her response. Not to be deterred, the dude actually yelled out again. No idea what he said (the subtitle quotes him as indistinguishable), but it was apparently enough for Schumer to give security the thumbs-up to send the heckler out. And something tells me, he wouldn't be getting a refund on his ticket.
Hopefully Amy Schumer was able to get her show back on track, for all of those in the audience not yelling rude demands in her direction.
Amy Schumer is presently on tour in Europe right now, but it looks like she'll be back in the States by mid-September, and doing shows in California, before setting off for the East Coast. Check out her full tour schedule (and how to buy tickets) here.
Probably don't heckle her.
As for Amy Schumer's Comedy Central series, Inside Amy Schumer, the comedian recently noted that, while Season 5 won't be happening anytime soon -- she's focusing on stand-up and writing right now -- Inside Amy Schumer is NOT cancelled. So the show will be back at some point, but don't bank on that happening anytime soon. Beyond her stand-up, and her comedy central series, we also know that the Trainwreck star will be headed back to the big screen for a road-trip movie with Goldie Hawn.
