This colossal mishap is offensive to both animal rights lovers and those who hate over-aggressive police officers. Apparently, the mayor of a small Maryland town is irate after the local 5-0 barged into his home, tied both he and his mother-in-law up, and shot the two family dogs after getting a warrant to investigate a pot shipment delivered to the home. Oh, and to add insult to injury, no one in the family knew anything about the cannabis and the warrant didn’t even authorize no-knock entry.
According to UPI, a memorial dinner was held for the two beloved pets, Payton and Chase. Barney Fife--I mean Chief Wiggum---I mean Officer Barbrady--I mean the local police have yet to issue a statement commenting on their egregious errors, but according to reports, one of the dogs was callously shot in the back while attempting to seek cover.
And people wonder why the general public is leery of those assigned to protect them.
