In my review of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, I unfavorably compared that direct-to-DVD effort to the so-called "Diniverse," and specifically to the Justice League animated series. If that comparison was lost on you, do yourself a favor and pick up a super-powered education when Justice League: The Complete Series arrives on DVD November 10th.
Okay, so this is basically just the previously released individual season sets slapped together inside a new box, but it's a very nice box. You might even call it the world's finest. (See what I did there?) At any rate, for $99.98, you'll get all 91 episodes of adventure with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and damn near every bit player from the DC Universe, especially once you get to the "Unlimited" episodes. If you've ever wondered what Booster Gold's voice sounds like, this is the DVD set for you. All kidding aside, while Justice League never got the same amount of critical praise as the original Batman: The Animated Series, once the show found its stride it had plenty of epic moments. And let's face it: eventually they'll get around to making a crappy live-action Justice League movie, and when that happens wouldn't you like to be able to take comfort in having the superior animated version waiting for you on your shelf? Of course you would.
Here's what you'll get on the special features front, and then scroll on down to check out several clips from the show and the behind-the-scenes material.
