It's Saturday at Comic Con, which means lots of news about your favorite sci-fi TV shows along with the actual comic stuff. During today's Heroes panel, our Josh Tyler got a little info about the DVD of season two, which might help those of you who were annoyed with how the season played out given the writers' strike.
Apparently the online Heroes webisodes as well as several unaired episodes from last season will all be part of the DVD package, which comes out oh-so-soon on August 26. That means that fans can get a more complete story from the truncated season, which even the most die-hard believers found a little lacking. Hopefully that will all set things up nicely for the beginning of season three, when the Heroes devoted can get re-obsessed without worrying about a strike messing things up. So go ahead and pre-order the DVD, knowing you'll be getting all the goods.

Just a little correction to your article. I was in the Heroes panel audience at SDCC. When the Season 2 Heroes DVD set was mentioned, it was announced that there will not be any added episodes per se but unused footage shot for episodes which were not filmed due to the writers strike.
