Does it have a keyboard? What makes it so much better than an iPhone?
I never get all the hype over this sort of thing. Though it would be really nice to replace my Tilt with something that didn't run so SLOW. Otherwise I love it.
Please note, all of this is from memory. Don't quote me.
it's a slider phone with a full size touch screen, or you can slide that back to have a good size keyboard.
It's also running on the google android platform, which app devs really REALLY like to deal with. Much cleaner interface than the apple or god forbid blackberry one.
It has a slide keyboard, yes but you can also use the touchscreen widescreen or vertically. The touch screen is amazing. The Android OS is very nice and I agree Unka. It is a helluva lot better than my Blackberry.

So what makes it so much better than every other slider with a touchscreen then? Just an amazing touch screen? What's so amazing about it?
I don't get the big deal from the consumer pov, cept for this - the applications are exploding in number, and the quality is good. Mainly because of the Android platform which I'm hearing is really easy to work with. Apple kind of sucks to deal with, but it's workable. Blackberry is a joke - you basically have to write a different version of the app for every freaking phone they have cause none of them work the same.
The touchscreen is the most intuitive on the market. You also can use your Droid like a radio..meaning it actually has decent speakers unlike the iPhone. Basically it blows away all phones offered by Verizon and is on par with the iPhone.
I've got a BB Curve 8900 and an ipod touch. I use the touch for 3 things. Reading books, the nike+ thingy, and pocket pr0n. Other than that the interface isn't that great, typing on it sucks compared to the BB, and the calendar/email/notes etc just don't work right. I've heard there isn't much difference with the call quality - worse in a lot of cases.
