The recently launched PC MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is occupying a lot of Funcom's time but don't think they're too busy to make the Xbox 360 version. They smashed rumors of the 360 version's cancellation today with a broadsword - or an enormous computer-generated boob, if you will.
Funcom confirmed to Eurogamer earlier today that the MMORPG will definitely come to Xbox 360. Said AoC Project Manager Erling Ellingsen: "There are no dates set, even though we aim for a 2009 release. Our big priority now is, of course, the PC version and fixing the issues with it and improving it for our current players." This fits with earlier estimates that the 360 iteration was about twelve months behind.
AoC sold about one million copies worldwide in the month or so after being released on PC this past May. In addition to the 360 port, Funcom is also working on the PC version's first expansion pack, though the only material released on it thus far was a piece of concept art. Could the expansion maybe ship with the 360 version? Lord knows it would be a lot less messy than trying to distribute it via Xbox Live.

Age of Conan should be called Age of Failure. The game still doesn't deliver what was promised from launch and has lost much of it's initial subscription base. The game company should be focusing on fixing the existing character balance and dozens of game stopping bugs instead of making speeches about other projects.
It has lost a lot of its fan base, true enough. The game still will rival Final Fantasy XI on the 360. I have played both, and I gain more enjoyment out of playing AOC on PC than FFXI on my 360. At least on Age of Conan you can go kill things and do mission alone or trio, but with FFXI you have to depend on others for help. Note you can survive on AOC with money, unless you want to buy an animal to ride. For ratings of playability and enjoyment AOC will out rank FFXI considering the difficulty levels of gaining experience and being able to defend yourself with buffs that really count during game play. A Buff on FFXI you may as well not even use it. At the maximum level, fully merited, with rare gear and easy prey monster can kill you. Talk about ironic. If AOC comes to the 360 it is sure to claim most if not all of FFXI fan base from the system.
