When game studio Brash Entertainment went belly-up last month, no doubt gamers' first reaction to the news was, "But what about the video game adaptation of Tales of Despereaux?!" Don't you worry your pretty little heads - Atari has scooped up the rights to the game in North America.
According to Variety, Atari will publish the PS2, PC, and Wii versions of the game, which were all developed by Brash. They'll also distribute the DS Despereaux game that was created by Universal (the studio behind the film). The reason a new publisher was so found so quickly was that they're hoping the game will be in stores around the time the movie hits theaters (December 19th).
What is Tales of Despereaux, you ask? Well, it's an animated film about an impoverished mouse who may or may not actually be French. He might be small in stature, but he more than makes up for it with his courage and determ - you're not even reading this anymore, are you?
