BioWare, purveyor of greatness on PC and Xbox 360, may be looking to other platforms in the future. I’m sure being owned by EA has made the good doctors look a little closer at alternative platforms, but you also have to imagine that these guys want to get games out to the widest audience available. I’m still surprised to hear BioWare is taking a serious look at the Apple iPhone and what it could mean.
In an interview with MTV Multiplayer, BioWare co-CEO Greg Zeschuk says he finds the iPhone ”intriguing” as a gaming platform. ”Something that's as big a cultural and technical success as the iPhone is something you've really got to take a close look at," he stated. "We've got a lot of folks looking at it."
BioWare has already begun the trek into alternative platforms with their upcoming Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood RPG for the DS. Plus the company is exploring Wii and PSP possibilities. I hope flash games are next. The more BioWare games I get to play the happier I’ll be.
