Indiana Jones Game Concept Art Details OK folks, our intrepid reporter on the loose and Head Honcho of Cinema Blend has returned with details on that Indiana Jones game concept art. We aren’t able to showcase the artwork to you at the moment, but hopefully at some point in the near future at least a few of these pieces will be shown off by LucasArts.

According to Josh there were around 50 paintings on the wall from Force Unleashed and Indiana Jones. Always a man looking at the details, and for fedora helmed heroes, Josh got a good look at four of the concept art pieces. Here’s his breakdown of what each looked like.

Concept Art Painting 1:

Indiana Jones is wearing some sort of Deep Sea diving suit. The suit looks like 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea meets Stargate. His helmet is off, so you can see his face. He’s completely alone and standing inside a massive underground room, surrounded by gigantic, man-made, ancient looking columns. Under his feet there’s water, and he appears to be standing either on a boat or some sort of rock or outcropping

Concept Art Painting 2:

Indiana Jones, in his classic outfit, stands on a beach, facing away from us and looking off into the distance, where we see the Golden Gate bridge under construction. It’s only half completed, and it looks like they’ve started building from the middle. The struts are done, but the bridge doesn’t actually reach either shore. Beautiful painting.

Concept Art Painting 3:

There’s a giant crowd watching what appears to be a street parade, somewhere in China, complete with giant paper dragon. There are lights and people everywhere, and in the corner, almost blending into the crowd, is Indiana Jones facing away from the camera, watching the parade.

Concept Art Painting 4:

Illustration/diagrams showing Elephants, with notations indicating different points of articulation. Indiana Jones stands near, and looks like he may be either fighting them or running from them. The elephants look like they’ll be carrying warriors.

From earlier demos and showings of Indiana Jones we knew Indy would be going to China and San Francisco. No surprises there. It’s pretty damn cool that a partially complete Golden Gate is in the game though. I’m also wondering what parts are tying into the latest movie. I’ve yet to see it (I know, shame on me) so I can’t say how much the game is tying in. Even more unfortunate is that this game with all of its Euphoria engine and now current gen technology is so constantly delayed. I’ve been hoping to get a good Indiana Jones game for years. Now that Ubisoft has proven you can do the style with Uncharted I hope LucasArts can get this one complete before Spring 09.

Actually, Ubisoft did not publish Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. That would be Naughty Dog.
