Joe Danger Games Bundled, Coming To Retail This October

Joe Danger, the stuntman with a heart of gold and a will of iron, is set to continue his adventures through the world of videogames, this time triple-back-flipping onto the PC in a worldwide physical retail release featuring the original Joe Danger, Joe Danger 2: The Movie and a bunch of other goodies to boot.

The original Joe Danger first arrived on the scene back in 2009, taking the PlayStation 3 by storm as a fast-paced, high score chasing trick-a-thon. The game eventually made its way to the Xbox 360, iPad and, most recently, even popped up on Steam.

Then along came Joe Danger 2: The Movie in 2012, giving the now-familiar formula a movie-themed makeover and tasking Danger with stunting his way across brand new levels on anything with wheels.

Up until this point, developer Hello Games has self-published their Joe Danger games on various platforms, always digitally. But now they’re partnering up with Base Games, who plan to bring a bundle featuring Joe Danger and Joe Danger 2 for the PC to physical retail stores sometime in October.

Joe Danger is a terrific addition to our ever-growing lineup of products and we are delighted that Hello Games agreed to work with us to release Joe Danger into retail stores globally,” said Base Games CEO Ted Bishop. “The reviews have been fantastic and we are confident that the PC version will be as much of a success as the previous versions.”

Along with the games, the retail version will include a “Making of Joe Danger eBook,” music from the games, as well as a bunch of wallpapers.

“It’s going to be so exciting to finally be able to pick up a copy of Joe Danger in my hands,” said Hello Games’ Managing Director Sean Murray. “There’s something about seeing in a shop something you’ve poured your soul into, and it’s lovely to have our little guy find new friends who couldn’t get hold of him in digital stores.”
