Lego Dimensions Adds New Packs Including Ghostbusters And DC Comics Content
It’s a busy day for Lego Dimensions fans, as several new character packs and a new level pack are introduced to the build-it-yourself toys-to-life game. Get ready to hang out with some DC heroes, a towering ghost and loads of old-school arcade games.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced the latest batch of goodies releasing for Lego Dimensions. Along with the meaty Midway Arcade Level Pack, collectors can also get their hands on Fun Packs featuring DC superheroes Superman and Aquaman, as well as the Ghostbusters’ old rival, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Collectively known as part of the Wave 4 expansion series, each set includes new characters to build and play with in the game, as well as vehicles that can be rebuilt into three forms. And just like with all of the other Lego Dimensions sets up to this point, you’ll be able to use these new characters and vehicles anywhere in the game.
Along with the Man of Steel, the Superman Fun Pack includes a Hover Pod vehicle that can be rebuilt into a Krypton Striker or a Super Stealth Pod. Superman himself can fly, dive, withstand great damage, as well as unleash his classic abilities like laser deflector, freeze breath, x-ray vision and super strength.
Aquaman comes with the Aqua Warcraft, which can be rebuilt into the Seven Seas Speeder or the Trident of Fire. His abilities allow for Dive and Growth, as well as Atlantis and Hazard Cleaner options for solving puzzles.
As for Stay Puft, he comes with a special companion from the first film, a Terror Dog. Even the Terror Dog has multiple forms, including a Terror Dog Destroyer and Soaring Terror Dog. Mr. Puft, on the other hand, can activate Hazard Protection, Big Transform and Super Strength when working through the game’s levels.
The big pack launching this week, though, is the Midway Arcade Level Pack. This bad boy comes with Gamer Kid, as well as the G-6155 Spy Hunter vehicle and an Arcade Machine. Along with unlocking the Midway Arcade Adventure World, players will gain access to a literal arcade of Midway classic games, redone with Lego-charm. These 20 titles include such games as Blasteroids, Championship Sprint, Defender I and II, Gauntlet I and II, Joust I and II, Marble Madness, Paperboy, Rampage, Road Blasters and Skyhunter, among others.

Both the Spyhunter car and the Arcade Machine are usable vehicles in-game, and Gamer Kid can activate abilities such as Stealth, Laser, Speed, Invulnerability and Super Strength.
Alongside games like Skylanders and Disney Infinity, Lego Dimensions is making a strong argument for games that let players interact with more than their controllers. Also, while character packs are great and all, an arcade of 20 classic games within the game itself is something most fans of the series will probably want to add to their collection.
