Resident Evil 5 is due on March 13th, which - I crunched some numbers on this - is about six months away. A long damn time. Capcom seems intent on making these time span feel even longer by dropping lots of enticing video footage of the game into our food dish.
For starters, there's a brand-new trailer that shows footage of what you'll be doing in the game besides gunning down hordes of emaciated African zombies in a dusty village. For example, there's a scene of Chris and his companion Sheva "I'm not racist, some of my best zombie-hunting partners are black!" Alomar being chased through the African wilderness by infected villagers on dirt bikes and trucks. The trailer also shows off what I assume is a boss character: a huge, executioner-ish baddie with a giant axe. The trailer conveys the variety of action and locales in the game and is worth checking out.
Additionally, Capcom unveiled a couple new gameplay videos at Leipzig of Chris and Sheva fighting their way through a zombie-infested industrial area. It's less gaudy than the trailer but it's over three minutes of straight gameplay footage so it's more informative in my opinion. It should give you a good sense of what the game's co-op play will be like. And check out those explosion animations - very purty.
