Alien-on-human violence will not fit in your pocket, after all. The PSP version of Wii third person shooter Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed has been cancelled by THQ.
Destroy All Humans! is a series of "sand box" style action games where you control an alien running amuck in a satirical version of the U.S. during the Cold War era. Big Willy Unleashed was released for Wii in February and it's the third game in the series.
A rep from the publisher told IGN that when Willy was ported to PSP, "the controls simply didn't translate well, and instead of pushing out the product with translated controls, it was cancelled." I guess they suddenly discovered PSP doesn't have a Wii-mote. The reviews for Willy weren't exactly glowing anyway so no big loss.
A port of the game had also been planned for the PS2 but was scrapped for budget reasons. But fear not, THQ doesn't completely hate you, Sony gamers. Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon will be arriving on PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 15th in North America and September 19th in Europe.
