Red Bull Battle Grounds Roster Unveiled

Red Bull has been very diligent in their support of the eSports arena and have been rolling out promotional content for their eSports tournaments throughout the summer leading up to the big fall showdown at the end of November with the Red Bull Battle Grounds bout.

As noted in the press release...

Saturday night in Anaheim, California, 20-year old Kim “sOs” Yoo Jin took the title in the WCS Finals – the World Championship Series, the true “SuperBowl” of StarCraft II. WCS Champion Kim has been offered the final slot in the eight-man line up at Red Bull Battle Grounds, assembling some of the world’s best players, bringing world-class StarCraft II competition to the East Coast.

Joining sOs Yoo Jin is Jang ‘MC’ Min Chul, Choi ‘Bomber’ Ji Sung, Red Bull Training Ground champions Jo ‘Golden’ Myeong Hwan and Jens ‘Snute’ Aasgaard also join in on the fray and help add some intensity to the roster for some fan-excitement to think about how the whole thing will play out.

Joining the aforementioned players are three qualifiers who managed to beat out more than 750 other players in some of the most intense real-time strategy mind-chess sessions in Blizzard's StarCraft II. Those qualifiers are Sasha ‘Scarlett’ Hostyn, Won ‘PartinG’ Lee and Ko ‘HyuN’ Seok Hyun.

The Red Bull Battle Grounds bout will take place on November 23rd and November 24th on the Red Bull eSports channel on Twitch TV, live at 1 p.m. EST / 10 a.m. PST. While I'm not an avid follower of eSports (save for some of the events happening within the FGC) and I'm certainly not big on real-time strategy games (so what? I suck at them... I have a right not to like them) I have to admit that Red Bull has seemingly gone over and beyond to bring gamers a well told narrative leading up to the big event at the end of the month.

And while a lot of gamers may not be head-over-heels in love with real-time strategy games, you at least have appreciate the level of competitive enthusiasm that Red Bull has infused into the atmosphere regarding the upcoming Battle Grounds in New York.

If your lower intestines is jittery with butterflies, you may need Pepto Bismol. However, if your lower intestines isn't suffering from a bad case of burritos, the excitement may be working its way through your gonads and you can embrace that excitement by learning more about Red Bull's Battle Grounds by visiting the official website.
