Following up on the release of the Red Faction: Armageddon, THQ has sent out details on the story and gameplay. They confirm that popular features from RF: Guerrilla will be making a return.
RF:A stars Darius Mason, grandson of Guerrilla protagonist Alec Mason. After Mars' Terraformer breaks down and turns the surface into a wasteland, Mason becomes a miner/scavenger. He makes forays to the planet's blighted surface on behalf of the colonists who now live in underground mines. On one trip to an abandoned Marauder temple, he accidentally releases a "long-dormant evil" - those creepy aliens from the trailer - which threaten the surviving humans.
Armageddon will hit the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in March 2011. A list of gameplay features is below.
