Stealth Inc. Hits iOS Next Week

Stealth Inc., formerly known as Stealth Bastard, will be sticking to the shadows on iOS next week, launching for various iDevices including the iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad Mini. Look for it to break cover on Thursday, Nov. 14, just in time to give you something to do while waiting in line for the PlayStation 4 midnight launch.

Of course, you don't need to be waiting on a new console launch to enjoy Stealth Inc. You could just dive right in while sitting on the couch, watching reruns of The Golden Girls if you like. But the timing IS rather perfect for the PS4 launch, is all I'm saying.

Originally released on PC and finally making its way to consoles earlier this year, Stealth Inc is a fast and furious stealth game that sees the player traversing many-a high-tech facilities while doing their best to keep from getting spotted.

“The game puts players in the role of a clone trying to escape a deadly facility that's been designed from the ground up with one purpose: to extinguish your fragile little life,” reads a statement from Curve Studios announcing the iOS launch. “With no weapons or armor, being seen means an instant and bloody death—only the fastest and sneakiest will make it to the exit of each of the game's challenging levels without being mangled by the facility's security systems.”

This mobile version of the game boasts all 80 of the original levels, music and graphics of the updated PlayStation version that launched this summer. Given the new platform, however, you can of course expect new touch-based controls, Gamecenter integration and leaderboards. Along with the included campaign, players can also fork over a little extra cash to grab 1,800 community levels to play through, too.

“We've been talking about bringing Stealth to iOS ever since we released the PC version back in 2012,” said Design Director Jonathan Biddle. “What we didn't want to do is rush to release it just for the sake of having it out there, so we've spent a lot of time tweaking the controls and making sure the game plays well and looks beautiful on a smaller screen.”

If that all sounds like a grand ole time, then you can look to pick up Stealth Inc. for iOS this coming Thursday, Nov. 14. A price point hasn't been announced just yet, but we're guessing it'll be somewhere in the $10-15 range... hopefully.
