I guess a few hours later in the same day is equivalent to “later in November.” In any case, the previously announced Guitar Hero III song packs are now available for PS3 owners on the Playstation Network. Nice work getting this done on the same day, it’s a first small step for the PS3. But that’s not the best news of the day. You can play GHIII elsewhere if you so desire, but what you can’t play on the 360 is Naughty Dog’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
The demo is available now for North American PS3 owners, as line producer Sam Thompson conveniently let everyone know on the Playstation blog. Now that the game is on the verge of release, I’m interested to see how the gaming public responds to the demo. For me, this is the first truly great game coming to the PS3. I love Ratchet & Clank, but the reach of that series is sadly limited. Uncharted has looked like a blast since I first caught wind of the title earlier in the year, even with reports of wonky demos throughout the convention season.
The Foo Fighters and Velvet Revolver song packs for Guitar Hero III are both available for $6.25 (which translates into 2300.32 PSpoints, if such a ridiculous thing existed). The Uncharted demo is, of course, free. Also up on PSN is a demo for College Hoops 2k8.
