This week played host to the annual Super Bowl, with the Seattle Seahawks going head-to-head with the New England Patriots. There was plenty of fanfare surrounding the event, a bit of a controversy involving a shark who couldn't dance during the half-time intermission show, and a scary-accurate prediction from EA's Madden NFL on who would win and how.
More news surfaced about the Dying Light modding fiasco, as well as Techland's desperate attempts to save face. The 2015 D.I.C.E. Super Bowl Prediction Is Scary Accurate
EA's Madden NFL prediction for this year's Super Bowl turned out to be a heck of a lot closer than you may have imagined. Mods for Dying Light have been banned and taken offline by DMCA notices. Check out Liam Neeson's hilarious Super Bowl ad for Clash of Clans as he channels his Taken character. The Super Bowl was also predicted by Mario Kart 8, see how well that turned out. There's a new Evolve app that lets you unlock new goods while playing on mobile devices. Law & Order: SVU is going after a certain online consumer revolt and they're apparently not going to pull any punches. Believe it or not, there is an actual story to the whole Mario universe. Dying Light Mods Are Now Available Again
The developers behind Dying Light have cleared up the confusion about blockading mods in the game and have eased up on the restriction. SOE is no longer owned by Sony; the studio will now make multi-platform games, which includes the Xbox. Bungie has made some modifications to Destiny's Xur. Nintendo is closing out the Nintendo Rewards program with a pretty big software bang. A brand new raid for World of Warcraft has become available. The not-very-good-looking Sons of Anarchy game has finally launched. A brand new campaign is set to arrive for Portal 2 and Crash Bandicoot won't be getting any resurrection duty from Naughty Dog.

EA and Visceral Games have been teasing it for some time and now the beta is finally underway for Battlefield Hardline... only, you'll likely have already missed it if you're just catching the news in this here recap. Sony has ramped up the offerings of PlayStation Now with four additional games, including the highly lauded Uncharted 2. Mortal Kombat X has a nice cache of collector's editions available. 6 TV Shows That Would Make Great Games
So here's a list of 6 great TV shows that would make for great games. Believe it or not, one of the most popular modes in recent Call of Duty games almost didn't even make the cut. Dark Souls II is set to arrive soon for the Xbox One and PS4, and some new details have emerged for the upcoming port. There's a brand new Toejam & Earl game in the making and it's set to arrive for the new consoles... or at least, we can hope. H1Z1 has just been patched and everyone's characters... have been wiped. Visceral Games took a step back and and fixed up Battlefield: Hardline and now the game is winning over fans with the Hotwire mode. 2015 D.I.C.E. Winners Awarded
The winners of the 2015 D.I.C.E., awards have been handed out. Check out a new fan-made Half-Life 3 short film that sums up fans' expectations.
