In Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Princess Zelda will do something other than get kidnapped. For the first time in the series, she'll be accompanying Link on his quest.
Zelda's spirit can possess the giant, armor-clad Phantoms found in Hyrule's dungeons to help Link with puzzles and combat. She'll also ride shotgun on your new train and offer gameplay advice. Considering how often Zelda gets in trouble, I'm not sure she's in a position to be giving adventure advice but whatev.
