14 Fantastic GIFs From The X-Men: Days Of Future Past Trailer
Have we all had enough time to absorb and process the amazing new trailer for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past? For the first time, I think we finally got an idea of the massive scope of Singer’s story, which will bridge two distinct eras in mutant history to weave a massive story that hopes to connect Singer’s initial X-Men universe with the X-Men: First Class cast that Matthew Vaughn brought to the table. It looks epic.
We’ve spent the bulk of the day singling out moments that melted our geek minds here at CinemaBlend, and wanted to spotlight to you some of the things that really grabbed and shook us. For example, we knew that Sentinels were going to be an important part of Singer’s sequel, what with the inclusion of Peter Dinklage’s Bolivar Trask… the father of the modern mutant hunter. But we didn’t know how MANY Sentinels we’d see until we caught these shots:
There’s also visual confirmation of what the Sentinels will look like in the dismal, post-apocalyptic future. They look smaller, yet still deadly. As when they take on Colossus!
Take a blast of heat from Sunspot.
Aim their blasters at poor Professor Charles Xavier.
And possibly eliminate one of our favorite, classic X-Man. Yikes.
Not to worry. Fox is more than ready to hand the franchise over to the younger, more popular Jennifer Lawrence, who gets several visual shout outs in this X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer in character as Mystique. She’s in Paris:

Where she might receive help from Lucas Till’s Havok:
The Havok GIF is just one example of mutants revealing their powers in the trailer. Some we’ve come to expect, as when Wolverine buries his claws in some dude’s neck.
Or Magneto uses his powers to throw some enemies.
But in possibly the most exciting tease, it appears that Iceman FINALLY is going to use his powers to create an ice path on which to skate! Bonue Blink and Colossus action in this GIF, if you look quickly:
