The Golden Raspberry Nominations (aka The Razzies) have been announced for 2007. What used to be more of a joke may turn out to be the only awards show that isn’t affected by the writer’s strike, so you should probably pay attention a little more than usual so you have some awards enjoyment this year.
Eddie Murphy sets a new achievement with the awards, receiving a record five nominations by an actor in a single year (acknowledging the multiple role work he did in the movie). Of course, other terrible vehicles, such as Lindsay Lohan’s I Know Who Killed Me also made sizable appearances, with nine nominations for the film.
The Razzie Awards will go on the day before that “other” major awards extravaganza, assuming the other one even goes on. Otherwise, the Razzie winners are just being announced on Saturday, February 23rd.
