Christmas is rapidly approaching and Aliens vs. Predator – Requiem along with it. Yes, nothing says Happy Holidays like fearsome alien races coming into mortal (and thankfully bloody) combat with each other. I bet some of you are awaiting the movie more than you’re anticipating Christmas itself, viewing the movie as a new Christmas present to make up for the disastrous first AvP movie.
In case you’re the type that likes to take a sneak peek at your present, Yahoo! has gotten their hands on the first five minutes of AvP-R so you can truly whet your appetite. Oddly, the clip isn’t available on the American version of Yahoo! Instead you have to point your browser over to the UK version of the site. It’s not available in high def or a downloadable format either – this is strictly a streaming thing.
I’m not normally one to peek at my presents, or even look at online portions of movies I want to preserve for the theatrical experience, but I like what little I looked at. In less than half the clip I liked what I saw more than the entire first AvP flick. This gives me hope that we might get one more decent Alien (or Predator) flick yet.
