Chris Pratt Will Appear In Non-Guardians Of The Galaxy Marvel Movies
Because of the way Marvel Studios operates, it’s very easy to predict that there will be a film somewhere down the line that lets the characters of The Avengers mingle with those from Guardians of the Galaxy… but thus far the company has been very hush-hush in regard to if or when that will ever actually happen. As such, it’s pretty interesting that Chris Pratt recently revealed that he is not only signed on to two more Guardians of the Galaxy films, but also "another couple."
With the release of Jurassic World just a few weeks away, Chris Pratt recently spoke with GQ as part of a cover story, and while the profile covers a number of subjects in the actor’s life, it also has an interesting bit about the Marvel movies that the A-lister is currently signed up to star in. During the interview, the matter of Pratt’s contract came up, and he described his situation thusly:
As of now, the only future Marvel Cinematic Universe film that Chris Pratt is officially on-board to star in is James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which has been penciled in for release in 2017. So, going from Pratt’s comments, it sounds like there are some plans in the works for Guardians of the Galaxy 3, but more interesting are the other couple of films that he is attached to be in. Could this be a hint that he, probably along with Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, could wind up being in The Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2?
That’s perhaps the easiest guess to make, but the answer could also be much more complicated than that. For example, what if the plan is actually to have Star-Lord only show up in The Avengers: Infinity War Part 2, thus potentially freeing him up to also be featured in a completely different film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - like a possible Captain Marvel sequel, for example. Or maybe Guardians of the Galaxy could generate a spin-off that brings Peter Quill along – like a prequel story about his time with Yondu and the rest of the Ravagers. The possibilities are kind of endless.
If you had to choose an upcoming, non-Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel movie for Chris Pratt to star in, what would you pick? Hit the comments below with your thoughts, and get ready for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which will be in production next year and in theaters on May 5, 2017.
