Clark Gregg Unsurprisingly Joins Thor

Once you saw him pop up as S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Agent Coulson in Iron Man, it was pretty easy to surmise that Clark Gregg would stick his nose into the other Avenger films as well. The classy Brits over at Empire are reporting that he's been confirmed to appear in Thor, Kenneth Branagh's 2011 addition to the series.

While it makes sense that Gregg would appear in all the Avengers movies, his appearance was traded in for the star power kick of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in 2007's The Incredible Hulk. Gregg will also be appearing in Iron Man 2 alongside teammate Nick Fury, but there's been no statement about whether or not he'll be spending more time on screen or if he'll just be continually trying to make appointments through Pepper Potts.

Given that he also recently wrote, directed and acted in the Chuck Palahniuk adaptation Choke, it's safe to say that we're going to be hearing a bit more from Gregg pretty soon on both sides of the camera. Anybody want to put money on him being around at the end of Captain America when they dethaw him from cryostasis?
