Back in March Warner Brothers announced that the entire Harry Potter cast, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint were locked up for all seven Potter films, and the internet breathed a sigh of relief. Well unbreathe it, because they may have been premature.
Monday in the Herald Sun Radcliffe himself spoke out on the subject of the seventh film, and he contradicted everything the WB said in their announcement. Daniel Radcliffe says he has not yet agreed to be in the seventh movie. He says, "It all depends on the script and who's going to direct it… It would be foolish to make it for the sake of it."
Wait a minute… make it for the sake of it? Daniel, perhaps you could make it to finish the damn story you started? How about that? Does that qualify as “for the sake of it”? Do you film the ending of a movie just “for the sake of it”… or because it’s the damn end of it and you sort of need it.
I really don’t understand what’s going on here. It’s pretty unlikely that Warner Brothers would have sent out a press release announcing that he’s in the movie unless they were pretty sure they had him. Is this some sort of negotiating ploy on the part of Radcliffe to get more money, or to get more creative control over the final film? Time will tell. Meanwhile, the fifth movie opens on the 11th… and it’s awful. Maybe Radcliffe saw the same cut of it I did, and wants to make sure the hack who directed is nowhere near the seventh. We can only hope.

What on Earth are you talking about? How can you judge an entire movie on a cut of the film and call it awful? There are numerous clips I watched from Yahoo, and they look like "to the letter" adaptions from the book. Granted, some altercations will be made as book 5 is the biggest one and the film is only a little more than two hours (the focus of quiditch, dobby, and the OWLs examinations will no doubt be thrown out of the filmed version), but don't go saying a movie is awful if you have not seen the whole thing yet. At least it looks more promising than the last film. Wankers.
The film can't be that bad can it, it looks pretty good to me and if he hasn't signed, good move I say. It may just be that he won't sign for the last one because 5 & 6 may be flops. Now the last book is almost here, what's the point of making anymore films, seem pointless to me.
Man-eater, Dan is crack whore and stupid? Yeah I'll be one too with 25 million quid in the bank, yeah, reaallly stupid!!!
