Deadpool Got Himself Into An Awkward Situation For Mother's Day
Ryan Reynolds is at it again, teasing us with that Deadpool R-rated humor that fans of the Merc With The Mouth have grown to love. And just in time for Mother’s Day, too, as Deadpool shows off yet another hysterical scenario. This time around the anti-hero gives us a thumbs up for a delivery room success. Take a look.
Thank you Ryan Reynolds, for giving not only all the mothers out there a present they won’t forget, but also us fans. The photo is pretty much photoshop gold. It looks like any other stock photo, just add in Deadpool instead of a gleaming father amidst his success and we’ve got the only delivery room birthing photo I ever want to see. With the caption "#Deadpool: A motherfucker since 1991," we can look at this photo one of two ways. Either Deadpool is reminiscing on his own birth, or he’s patting himself on the back for a job well done, that snarky mother-fucker. Let us all take a moment to thank Wade Wilson’s mama for giving us this smart-mouthing son-of-a-wonderful woman (it’s Mother’s Day guys).
It’s starting to feel a lot like a Deadpool comic up in here. Wade Wilson’s Deadpool first showed up in Marvel Comics back in 1991 (hence the birthing date). He was introduced by Rob Liefeld in New Mutants #98, and was originally a parody of DC Comics’ Deathstroke. But it wasn’t until Deadpool’s solo book that his trademark personality quirks would finally emerge including his consistent breaking of the fourth wall. Though there’s not a lot known of Wade Wilson’s early life, we do know he was born into a dysfunctional family and his mother died of cancer at a very young age. So Deadpool unfortunately doesn’t have a mama he can call today.
We’ll get the cinematic picture of Deadpool’s origin story in the upcoming movie now in production which will follow the mercenary as he is transformed into Deadpool and goes out for revenge. Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson is joined by his sidekick T.J. Miller as Weasel, former love interest/shapeshifting mutant Morena Baccarin as Vanessa a.k.a Copycat, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Ed Skrien as Ajax a.k.a Francis. The script is sure to hold the sadistic R-rated humor with Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick on-board, and Tim Miller is taking on directorial duties in his directing debut.
Ryan Reynolds continues to give us glimpses of the character in comical situations, and with perfectly fitting crude commentary capturing the essence of his character. We can only hope that Reynolds’ photo teases are a preview for the same type of humor found in the film. Look out for more Deadpool images on Reynolds Twitter account as we count down for the film’s premiere February 12, 2016.
