I’m really looking forward to Public Enemies, the gangster picture that comes out later this year with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Since it’s not a big, sci-fi or super hero picture, it tends not to get as much attention, but with a cast like that it’s bound to be pretty promising.
The first poster has been revealed for the movie, and like most of the previously released images, it features Johnny Depp in vintage gangster gear. I’m totally excited about seeing Depp play John Dillinger, but you have to think with Christian Bale’s Batman success and his upcoming Terminator Salvation, the studio might be a little more interested in getting his face out there as well.
I can’t help but think this poster should be part of a set that includes character posters for each of the major players. Is this the first one to come out because Johnny Depp is such a bankable star? Or are we not seeing a Christian Bale one because of the fallout over his recently revealed on-set tirade?
