Even more character photos from G.I. Joe have popped up online today. This time we’ve got our first look at Duke, The Baroness, Breaker, Ripcord, and Heavy Duty.
Now that we’ve seen quite a few of these, I think I’m starting to notice a theme. They’re all dressed like the X-Men. The movie versions of the X-Men, with the boring, black costumes which every movie seems to resort to when it doesn’t feel like putting much effort into its look. Where’s the camo? Isn’t this G.I. Joe?
Below are links to high-res versions of all the character photos online so far:

You know, the more of these character photos I see in their generic black costumes the less excited I am about this GI Joe movie. Some of them look cool - especially Snake Eyes, Destro, and General Hawk, and even The Baroness to a lesser degree although I'm not sure about that bit of casting. The rest of them just look boring and generic, and sorry but the Storm Shadow trench coat costume looks pretty lame. The non-uniform uniforms of the GI Joe soldiers was part of the campy brilliance of the show that I was hoping to see on the big screen. With the all black costumes this looks less like GI Joe and more like S.W.A.T. 2 or something.
Thank god someone said it... these pics look boring as freaking hell... seriously, Hawk looks ok, not great but passable, Baroness, not bad, Snake Eyes, good, and Storm shadow looks awesome. But seriously, the rest of them with the all black costumes look terrible... the characters were always unique and fun, now theyre just boring.
