It’s been a long time since Oliver Stone made anything anyone liked, but it’s hard not to be at least a little bit excited about his new movie W.. It’s the life story of our current president, George W. Bush, as imagined by the wacky brain of Oliver Stone. Even if it’s a total train wreck, this is the kind of movie you just can’t miss.
It stars Josh Brolin, who killed in No Country for Old Men, as George W. Bush, and Elizabeth Banks as his wife Laura. This week’s Entertainment Weekly has the first ever look at Brolin and Banks as the two Bushes, and their transformation is nothing short of stunning. Brolin in particular is almost unrecognizable, and it’s not just because of makeup. He really seems to be channeling our much maligned commander in chief.
