The First Trailer For Iron Man 3 Is Here!
Joss Whedon's The Avengers was a bigger hit than anybody could have dreamed of. After earning $207 million in its opening weekend - shattering previous records - the movie went on to make $1.5 billion at the global box office and now sits at third place on the all-time list. And the film that will benefit most from the success will be Shane Black's Iron Man 3. While the character has already established himself as box office gold, people want to see more from the Marvel Cinematic Universe now more than ever. Sadly we still have a long time to wait until the film is actually in theaters, but at least now we have something to obsess over while we wait.
The run up has been rather excruciating, with a new poster, a bevy of stills, and two trailer teases being released the last two days, but the moment has finally arrived: the first ever trailer for Iron Man 3 has finally launched. Check it out below or in HD over on Apple.
A sequel to both the two previous Iron Man movies as well as The Avengers, the new film sees Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) facing an enemy unlike anyone he has gone up against before. With his life in tatters after a devastating attack, he must summon all of his strength and ingenuity to fight back and finally determine if it's the suit or the man that is the true hero. Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, and Jon Favreau will reprise their roles as Pepper Potts, James "Rhodey" Rhodes and Happy Hogan, respectively, while newcomers to the franchise include Ben Kingsley (as the supervillain The Mandarin), Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, James Badge Dale and Ashley Hamilton. Iron Man 3 will be in theaters on May 3rd and you can head over to our Blend Film Database to see more from the movie.
UPDATE: Disney has sent over a gallery of new high-res stills from the trailer. See them below!
