Funny Phone Sex Featured In First For A Good Time, Call... Red Band Trailer

One thing that I love about the Sundance Film Festival taking place in January is that for the rest of the year you get to sit and wait in anticipation for the best films of the festival to find their way into theaters. This year, one of those titles is the comedy For A Good Time, Call... Directed by Jamie Travis and written by Katie Anne Naylon and Lauren Miller, the film is about two women who don't really like each other but are forced to share an apartment together due to financial issues. When one discovers that the other makes a good living as a phone sex operator, the two hatch a scheme and create a business that could end all of their money woes. The film got a lot of positive buzz out of Sundance (you can read Katey's review of it here) and now it has a brand new red band trailer.

Posted over at Yahoo!, it should be noted that the trailer isn't shy about the movie's raunch factor, so be sure to watch it at home instead of at work. Check it out!

I must admit that I was hoping for a bit more from this. While there were some moments that I laughed at, the whole thing felt surprisingly flat. It could be just the way the trailer is cut together, so let's hold out hope that this could be yet another refreshingly funny female-led comedy.

For A Good Time, Call... stars Lauren Miller, Ari Graynor, Justin Long, Mimi Rogers, Nia Vardalos and Mark Webber. The film will be given a limited release on August 31st.
