Head To Space With Our Exclusive New TV Spot For Lockout, Starring Guy Pearce

Every time I see a new preview for Lockout, the new science-fiction action film from directors Stephen Saint Leger and James Mather, I find myself wondering why Guy Pearce doesn’t get more parts like the one he has in this movie. While he has played harder, tougher characters in the past, he’s never been given the chance to be a full-on action hero who takes his punches and spits out one-liners. Audiences will have to wait until next week to see what the full thing looks like, but today we have an exclusive peek for you.

We here at Cinema Blend have been given a brand new 30 second television spot for the film, which you can check out below.

Lockout is set in a future where the most dangerous criminals are sent to a maximum security prison called MS-One. When the president’s daughter, Emilie (Maggie Grace), arrives at the prison on a mission, however, there is a massive breakout and she is held hostage. In order to get her out, the US government calls on Snow (Pearce), a man who has the chance to clear his name of espionage charges if he’s successfully able to get Emilie out of danger. The movie, produced and co-written by Luc Besson, arrives in theaters on April 13th and you can see more from it in our Blend Film Database.
