Hero Blend #27: What To Expect From Marvel, DC And Fox At San Diego Comic-Con 2014

In the world of comic book movies, there is perhaps no bigger event in the world than San Diego Comic-Con. Every year, the major studios arrive in the coastal Southern California city to present previews of their biggest genre and fan-driven projects – and perhaps the most anticipated ones are the big blockbuster superhero films coming out over the next few years.

But what exactly is going to be on display? Marvel Studios, Warner Bros., and 20th Century Fox – owners of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Batman v. Superman and the Fantastic Four - all have big presentations in the San Diego Convention Center’s famous Hall H, and while none of their huge comic book film titles are on the official docket, that doesn’t mean that they’re not aiming to all surprise us. Will WB unveil a full slate of films, including the long-anticipated Justice League? Will Marvel provide titles for all of their projects set to come out between now and 2019? Will Fox finally give us our first look at the new Fantastic Four in costume?

These are all questions that we will be getting the answers to this week, but before all that, Cinema Blend’s own Sean O’Connell and I – finally not meeting over webcam! – have filmed the latest episode of Hero Blend dissecting everything that we expect to see at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. What can you expect to see over the next week? Hit play and find out!
