How To Hear Hans Zimmer's Greatest Film Scores Live In Concert

Hans Zimmer has been the musical genius behind the scores of movies that we have worshipped for decades. The German-born composer has worked in film since 1982, contributing to television and movies for years while picking up an Oscar in 1995 for his The Lion King original score. To celebrate his time in the film industry, Zimmer is staging a live concert that’s expected to showcase some of his more memorable works, though you might have to start planning now if you’d like to attend.

Collider has the news that Hans Zimmer will stage "Hans Zimmer Revealed," a two-day concert scheduled for October 10 and 11 at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo in London. International flights, here we come! According to the release, the composer "will be accompanied by a band of brilliant players mixing traditional orchestral instruments with rock and electronica, and will be joined by a few surprise special guests." And, knowing Hans Zimmer’s eclectic body of work, we can expect to hear songs from his most memorable movie compositions, including Ridley Scott’s Gladiator:

Christopher Nolan’s Inception:

That Oscar-winning Lion King score:

And, if there’s any justice in the world, music from Hans Zimmer’s Batman trilogy also with Christopher Nolan:

Of the planned London concert, Hans Zimmer said:

Performing a concert series like this is something that I have always wanted to do, and I am thrilled that that time has finally come. I am very excited to get some of my very talented friends together and give our audiences an experience unlike any concert they have ever been to before."

Actually, he warmed up for just such an event earlier in the year when he performed tracks from his The Amazing Spider-Man 2 score on stage with guest stars. Want to go to this planned show? Tickets are available online at www.Eventim.co.uk, or by calling 0844 249 4300. Have fun!
