If you’re over the age of 21 you probably skipped the MTV Music Awards tonight and that was probably a good decision since we can sum up the only really interesting thing that happened in one sentence: Indiana Jones IV has a title and it’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The news was broken by Indy 4 co-star Shia LaBeouf who strode on stage to tease the upcoming movie to rabid music audiences… for some reason. I guess they figure youngsters might not know about this Indiana Jones character so they need someone closer to their own age like Shia to explain it to them. In the process of explaining things, he also announced the title. The title has since been confirmed on the film’s official site.
As it happens, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was one of the six titles we heard rumored a few weeks ago. Of those six, it’s the longest. It works. At least they didn’t go with Destroyer of Worlds, even Indiana Jones can’t beat a guy who eats planets.
