Joker Dominates Dark Knight Television Spots

Joker Dominates Dark Knight Television Spots I hate to be a downer, but the more publicity I see for The Dark Knight, the more depressed I get about Heath Ledger’s death. Every added glimpse we get of the Joker just makes me think his performance is going to be absolutely astounding, and I can’t help but mourn the potential that was lost.

Take these two new television spots for instance, placed online courtesy of The Movie Box.net. Both feature a return to showcasing the Joker, much like the early Dark Knight ads. We get to see a little more new stuff – mostly extended pieces of the film we’ve already seen, but it’s still damn cool. There’s a touch of that dynamic between Bruce and Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) most of us loved in the first film. Add in a new dynamic between Gordon (Gary Oldman) and Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) and you’ve got something awesome going on.

Both of these spots are probably playing on your television during your favorite prime time shows, but in case you haven’t seen them there, they’ve been loaded onto YouTube for your viewing pleasure. Embedding has been disabled unfortunately, so you’ll have to head over there to see them:

  1. Meghan Says:

I cry everytime I see previews for the Dark Knight...I actually googled "I cry everytime I see the trailer for The Dark Knight" and this article popped up. It just seems like he did a fantastic job for a role that essentially killed him. It breaks my heart. Anyway, thanks for putting this out there!
