Fast and the Furious 4 is rapidly turning into one big street racing reunion movie. Paul Walker and Vin Diesel are already in it, and back together for the first time since FF1, and now it looks like uber-hottie Jordana Brewster will return to the franchise too. Like Vin, she hasn’t been seen since the franchise’s original, kickoff movie.
The news comes from Moviehole, where they say they’ve gotten wind that she’s in talks to reprise her role as the sister of Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto character, Mia Toretto. In the first movie she also served as Paul Walker’s love interest, though it’s hard to tell from MH’s writeup whether or not they’ll rekindle things for this fourth sequel.
If they actually want her, and Brewster’s smart, she’ll take the part under whatever circumstances it’s offered to her. It’s not like she’s been busy lately. Since The Fast and the Furious in 2001, she’s made other movies, all of them bad and most of them flops. She’s on the verge of joining the likes of Natasha Henstridge in hottie obscurity. Alright, it’s no sure thing that doing another Fast and Furious will get her back in Maxim, but it can’t possibly hurt.
What does seem certain is that at least one former Fast and the Furious cast member won’t be returning for this one. Apparently Michelle Rodriguez has been written write out of the franchise. If you want to know how and why, click over to MH for potential plot spoilers.
