Like everyone involved with the previous movies, Kirsten Dunst has done a good job of playing coy where future Spider-Man movies are concerned. In the past, she’s said that she had no interest unless Raimi was involved. Now, both Raimi and Maguire are a lock, so does that mean she’ll be back? Kirsten says yes.
Speaking to MTV she confirmed, “I’m in.” She then quickly backpedaled and changed her tune to, “I’m not saying anything.” Hey Kirsten, maybe you should have said “I’m not saying anything” before, you know, you’d already said something.
Of course you have to wonder if “I’m in” actually means she’s in, or if it just means she wants to be in. Does Sam Raimi even want her? That’s the real question. She’s long been the biggest drag on the Spider-Man endeavor, and fans have never really warmed up to her. In fact… most were sort of hoping her character would be dead by now. Maybe she’ll come back, so Raimi can finally kill her off.
