Natlie Portman’s next movie is My Blueberry Nights, in which she inexplicably plays second fiddle to Norah Jones. That’s Norah Jones the singer. She has a great voice, but what’s she doing starring in a movie while Portman plays a supporting role? If you’ve got Natalie Portman and an untried musician in your movie, shouldn’t Portman be playing the lead?
Leading role confusion aside, the only reason anyone is really interested in the movie is because Natalie Portman is going blonde for it. NataliePortman.com scored the pic to your right, showing Natalie in movie showing off her new blonde do.
My Blueberry Nights is a romance movie about a young woman (Norah Jones) on a soul-searching journey across America. From the picture though, you’d think it’s a sequel to The Fast and the Furious. She’s supposed to encounter offbeat characters during her road trip, apparently she also gets involved in illegal, underground street racing. If only that were true, I might actually be interested in the movie. Vroom.

I agree with you, but most people have absolutely no idea who Wong Kar-Wai is. The only reason this picture is spreading across the internet like wildfire is because Portman is blonde.
I must mention that the only reason people should be interested in this project is it's the latest work by Wong Kar-Wai, perhaps one of the most important directors working today. It is also his first American film, after taking the identity crisis of Hong Kong head on in his previous films.
Everyone should check out "In the Mood for Love," "2046" and "Happy Together," then there will be much more than NP's haircut to be excited for.
