Operation Kino #63: The Dumb Glory Of Battleship And The Death Of Modern Satire

This week on Operation Kino, we're firing a missile at B-6 and taking out your destroyer, as we review the biggest board game adaptation of all time, Battleship. From there we get into a discussion inspired by The Dictator, about modern satire and whether or not anybody is trying to make them anymore. Before any of that, though, there's a lightning round inspired by What To Expect When You're Expecting, plus tidbits, in which Patches wants you to see Beyond the Black Rainbow, Da7e isn't into the forced scarcity of brands like Mondo, Katey is mad at What To Expect When You're Expecting for avoiding controversial issues, and David is mad at the world because he's not at Cannes. We end, as always, with your lightning round answers for dessert.

Take a listen below and find your downloading options; for more from all of us, you can follow the show (@opkino), Da7e (@da7e), David (@davidehrlich or @CriterionCorner), Patches (@misterpatches) and Katey (@kateyrich) on Twitter.
