Love the Oscars or hate them, it's hard to deny they're the biggest night of the year for movie fans, which is just one of the many reasons we were liveblogging every moment of them here at Cinema Blend. With the awards over, you can look below for the full list of winners. Though Hugo and The Artist tied for the most amount of statues, with five each, The Artist was undeniably the night's big success story, taking home Best Director, Best Actor as well as the big kahuna, Best Picture. A lot of people expected The Artist to be such a huge success, but there were surprises in store as well, including a Best Actress win for Meryl Streep, when many expected that prize to go to The Help's Viola Davis. The other acting winners were The Help's Octavia Spencer as Best Supporting Actress, and Beginners star Christopher Plummer as Best Supporting Actor.
Check out the full list of winners, and stay tuned for much, much more Oscar coverage here. It's the biggest movie night of the year, and we'll be writing about it as long as you'll let us get away with it!
