Over the past few months we’ve been the first site on top of what’s been happening with the upcoming sequel to Da Vinci Code, based on the book “Angels & Demons”. Our sources tell us that within the next couple of weeks some of the scoops we’ve been bringing you may be confirmed. Namely that Tom Hanks is signed and on board for the second movie and that Gisele Bundchen will end up co-starring. But what’s even more exciting is who else may be in talks to join the cast.
Tonight I got an email from a long time scooper who claims that Pirates heartthrob Orlando Bloom is in talks to join the cast of Angels & Demons alongside Hanks and Bundchen. Our source is one who has given us proven information before, and a quick look at Orlando Bloom’s mostly empty post-Pirates schedule confirms that he has nothing else lined up, which would mean he’s free to do it, since production is supposed to begin soon (if it hasn’t started already).
If Orlando joins the cast, it’s unclear at this point who he’d play. Unless this is just some sort of cameo, it seems Orlando has no problem with simply leap-frogging from mega-blockbuster to mega-blockbuster. No puny indie movies for Legolas. Expect some sort of studio confirmation on this soon, it’s possible that they’re holding off on announcing Hanks and Bundchen in order to finish negotiating with Bloom first. Till then, consider it all rumor. Good rumor, but rumor just the same.

What Hollywood genius cam up with the bright idea to cast Gisele Bundchen in this film? Based on what? The face that she knows how to pose for photos? That she displayed extemely dismal 'acting' ability in the equaling dismal Taxi? Or perhaps it was her starring role in Prada? Give me a break. She was hired on for her looks, mainly boobs & legs. Hanks is going to look rediculous next to her. Perhaps they're looking forward to seeing Tom Brady on the red carpet with her? Darn, too bad they'll be history by then. This is one movie I will gladly skip.
Oh please stop trying to make acting more than what it is. They're playing make believe on fake sets. It ain't rocket science. Get over it. Gisele did some good action scene in Taxi. The movie as a whole was bad, from the writing to directing. Her role in Devil was small and she did fine in that. You have to start somewhere. All she needs is an acting coach and a good director.
Any movie that casts Gisele Bundchen loses all respectibility. People WILL NOT see pass the supermodel. They WILL NOT buy her as an actress. If acting was so simple Nadine then why are so many, especially models, just awful at it?
I truly love Orlando and I hope he doesn't do this movie. I am christian and the first one of the movie made this whole stupid theory up to make Jesus seem like he fathered a child. HE DIDN'T. You morans. OK?!?!?!?!?
I hope the second one doesn't even come out. I hope it fails or cancels or something. And if it does come out, I hope Orlando doesn't go for this movie. Oh and by the way Gisele won't do good acting in this movie. I think she would be better off doing some chick flick or something.
I hate it when people always look down on others. I don't care who is in this movie. Orlando Bloom is a fine actor. I don't know about Gissell, but Hanks is awesome. I will see this movie simply because I love the book.
I thought the first one was very well done.
I do not believe in "Jesus", or "God" for that matter. But I believe it to be a good story. Just like the Bible is a good work of fiction, great story I just wish people didn't take it so seriously.
Umm, Haven, Ned Kelly, The Calcium Kid are all OB movies post-LoTR. Calcium Kid was UK only release at first iirc--I know I had to order the damned DVD from Britain! Haven was not a blockbuster, nor was Ned Kelly despite OB and Heath Ledger being in.
And I'm not holding my breath on this. Stage productions typically require a time commitment.
I think it's brilliant seeing Orlando Bloom in the Big Screen again. Especially with author, Dan Brown, an insprining author who captures the truth about religion and faith combained with one of the world's greatest actor (and hottest). I think this is going to be a great hit.
And for the record im catholic and i don't exactually take Dan Brown's books seriously however i do try to realise that these myth's, which he claims to be facts could be a possiblity and it should teach us that life is full of suprise.
I hope Orlando does great in this moive as for i am a THE biggest and most obessed fan.
All Church controversy aside, this book was a lot better than the Da Vinci Code,
and if well directed, and edited it might be a good film for Bloom.
The camarlengo part is made for him. Thirty something, handsome, good guy all aroud (or that's what he appears to be) and then the 180 degree change, if it's well acted it's a great part. The character is not seen that much, but it's a really important role.
I am a huge fan of OB and i think he will do justice in the rumored role that will be given to him in this sequel to this da vinci code film.But pleasssssssse i am begging make this movie very wel made because as fa as i can remembr this movie cured my insomnia!!!!!!!. though i love the book and tom hanks i just cant ignore the fact that the movie sucks!
i am very much hoping that this time the people behind the first film will do better.

i personally think it doesnt matter wat movis Orlando does! no matter wat i still think hes HOT!!! i am a huuuuge fan and i have to watch every movie of his that i can so i hope hes in this i thought the first 1 was good and i be that this 1 will ne just as good

Well i may as well join in on this. First A+D is the best Dan Brown book. DaVinci code wasnt that bad a movie but could have been so much better. Orlando Bloom is the most gorgeous man on earth and would be brilliant playing the Camerlengo. I think he could do nice guy to religious zealot extraordinarily well.
Second if you find the story offensive, then maybe you should look further into your believes because if you are bothered by a piece of fiction then you are not terribly secure (unshakable) in those beliefs and need a refresher course. Like someone said above the Bible is just another piece of fiction and like the Da Vinci code and Angels and Demons is taken much to seriously by some people. Well a lot of people, the book was written two thousand years ago, if authors can create believable worlds and ideals now then they could certainly do it then. The Bible is just like Dan Browns books, a good story and people sometimes get a little carried away.
I think she did an awesome job in the first film, and casting Orlando and Gise in the squel just shows, that being hot does not make up for the lack of acting skills.
Well, the word blockbuster comes to mind. Money will always prevail. At least Tom is still in it... ;-/

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Bloom, but what in the world would he
be doing in this film?
He needs better roles quickly and this is not the film (did anybody
forget about the da vinci code...book was ok...movie dreadful).
I'm sure this is all just a big rumor.
