One of the surprise hits of 2012 was the African-American ensemble comedy Think Like a Man. Based on the self-help book by comedian Steve Harvey Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, the romantic comedy centered on a battle of the sexes waged between four couples and made headlines when it beat the blockbuster behemoth The Hunger Games out of the number one spot…admittedly after the cultural phenomenon feature had five weeks at the top, but still that's impressive.

Since then Think Like a Man scene-stealer Kevin Hart has been blowing up, getting roles left and right including a part in Screen Gems in-development remake of the 1986 comedy About Last Night…, which starred Rob Lowe and Demi Moore as a pair Chicago lovers in a passionate but problematic relationship. With this revamped rom-com, Screen Gem appears to be looking to repeat the success of Think Like a Man, which has a sequel in the works, by doubling down and bringing in more of the comedy's stars.

Variety reports Michael Ealy and Regina Hall have entered into negotiations to join the untitled About Last Night… remake, which will be penned by buzzed about Bachelorette scribe Leslye Headland. Though no official offers have gone out and Screen Gems is refusing to comment, Ealy is said to be up for the male romantic lead, the role played by Lowe in the original. Hart has already committed to play the wisecracking best friend to the male lead, and Hall is in talks to play the female lead's devoted gal pal who has a contentious and flirtatious relationship with Hart. But who will be the Demi Moore to Ealy's Rob Lowe? That remains to be seen.

The film will be overseen by Think Like a Man producer and Easy A director Will Packer. There's no word yet on who might direct the film.
