Thor: The Dark World Gets An Honest Trailer, Releases A Blooper Reel Clip And More

Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World was one of my favorite blockbusters of 2013, but even I will admit that the film had its fair share of problems. As awesome as the third act is, it's still hard not to ignore the muddled plot in the first two acts and a fairly mediocre main villain in Malekith The Accursed. It's these kinds of flaws that make perfect fodder for the folks over at Screen Junkies and their Honest Trailer video series, which has just released a new episode entirely dedicated to the God of Thunder sequel... or should I say Guy of Thunder?

Flawed as the movie may be, I still plan on picking up a copy of when it hits Blu-ray... and it won't just be because of the film itself. Marvel has packed the home video release with all kinds of bonus content, and in the past few weeks they have been slowly teasing it out (a deleted scene here, a Tom Hiddleston as Thor test footage GIF there). Today, however, we have a full bounty. The studio has released a funny clip from the blooper reel, yet another deleted scene featuring Ray Stevenson as Volstagg, and a special trailer for the home video release. You can watch all three below:

As we learned in the middle of last week, this won't be the last we see of Chris Hemsworth as Thor... and I'm not talking about Joss Whedon's The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Last Wednesday, Marvel Studios officially announced that producer Craig Kyle and screenwriter Christopher Yost are currently hard at work writing a screenplay for Thor 3 - which will presumably be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Three. We should hear more about the movie at San Diego Comic-Con this year, but it's a long wait until July.

Thor: The Dark World arrives on Blu-ray on February 25th.
