Trouble With The Curve Starring Clint Eastwood Will Hit Blu-ray In December

I've got to hand it to Clint Eastwood. At the age of 82, the man is still starring in films once every few years. Most of the flicks he’s done in recent years have at least been passably good, and a few of them have been great. The actor’s most recent release, Trouble with the Curve, failed to make a huge impact at the box office, but maybe it will find a viewer niche when it hits Blu-ray and DVD on December 18.

In Trouble with the Curve Eastwood plays an older baseball scout named Gus, who brings his daughter, Mickey (Amy Adams) with him on a scouting trip after he realizes he is losing his edge over the competition. The film actually gets a hell of a lot deeper and grittier than its initial plot, and Eastwood and Adams fit as family members, despite the rampant age difference and the fact they look nothing alike. Justin Timberlake, Matthew Lillard, and the always-likeable John Goodman also feature in the flick.

Trouble with the Curve was never meant to be a movie with plenty of special effects, but it is a story about strong acting performances, and I am surprised the disc won’t support a featurette looking into the actors. The set will, however, offer a few other bonus features for fans, although it will be a sparse set as a whole, whether you opt for the DVD or Blu-ray. You can take a look at the full list of bonus features, below.
