Watch Batman Invade Star Wars, Harry Potter, Wizard Of Oz And More

In Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, Christian Bale redefined Batman. No longer a pouty-lipped playboy with curly hair and a soft spot for blondes, this Batman was brawnier than ever before with more articulated body armor, higher tech weaponry and a low, growling voice that strikes terror into the hearts of criminals…and sniggers from moviegoers. Since Batman Begins debuted in 2005, everyone has taken a whack at impersonating Bale's Batman, but youtube uses PistolShrimps took his to a new level of absurdity with this video (tipped by Geeks Are Sexy).

What, this vid imagines, if Bale's gravel-toned Batman stepped in for Harry Potter's Hermione Granger? Star Wars' Princess Leia? 2001: A Space Odyssey's murderous computer HAL? The Wizard of Oz's Dorothy Gale? Home Alone's Kevin McCallister? Dirty Dancing's Frances 'Baby' Houseman? Casablanca's song-man Sam? Forrest Gump's easily befuddled title character? The short answer is much more pathos, a higher body count, and pretty solid silliness. Oh, and one life lesson: never wish to never see your parents again.

In all seriousness, with DC's Justice League movie in development, there's been lots of talk about whether or not Bale and Nolan would reteam to bring Bruce Wayne back into the fray. Sean has passionately pleaded for Bale's return. And since then there's been conflicting reports claiming Nolan is coming back with Bale, or without. With the Justice League moving aiming for a 2015 start date, it's possible we won't know for certain which is true for quite a while. So in the meantime, we'll look for Batman wherever we can find him. Like in a police station in the UK.
