The Watch Is Headed To Blu-ray in November

The Watch, Fox Home Entertainment’s story of a neighborhood crew who spends a lot of time jerking around until a real alien-oriented emergency arises, didn’t spend too long in the box office, which is pretty sucky for a film boasting three big names and Richard Ayoade. If you missed the flick, but still want to see some alien kick-ass for yourself, you’ll be able to catch The Watch on Blu-ray and DVD beginning on November 13.

The Watch failed to catch the heart of box office goers, which is a shame, because this was Akiva Schaffer’s second big chance to make a mark in the movie world. His first directorial effort, Hot Rod, only pulled in $14 million worldwide. While The Watch did remarkably better, making over $47 million worldwide, it still didn’t manage to make back its $68 million dollar budget.

On the bright side, the budget doesn’t seem to have affected the number of extras with the disc, so if you are planning to purchase a copy of the film on Blu-ray or DVD, you should be pretty happy with the extras. Although The Watch will be a set where the Blu-ray gets a few extra features, all of the good stuff, including the deleted scenes and a gag reel, will come with both sets.
