Watch Paul Walker's Tribute Video From The 2014 MTV Movie Awards

The MTV Movie Awards took time out from celebrating the past year's hottest movies and stars to acknowledge the tragic death of Paul Walker with a tribute segment introduced by Walker's Fast and Furious co-star Jordana Brewster. Vin Diesel is featured on screen talking about Walker at the start of the tribute.

"Paul's kindness was pure," Brewster said, near the end of her introduction. "He never asked for credit or glory. He was just a really good guy. His charm, wit, spirit, and his beautiful smile will live on because he will always be in our hearts, and he will remain an inspiration to live life to the fullest."

Paul Walker died tragically in a car accident last November. He was only forty years old. His credits include a number of films that have been recognized with nominations at the MTV Movie Awards over the yeras, including She's All That, Varsity Blues and of course, the Fast & Furious franchise.

Unsurprisingly, much of the movie footage revealed in the minute-long tribute calls back Walker's starring role as Brian O'Connor in the Fast & Furious films, however we also got glimpses of Varsity Blues, Pleasantville and some of his other films. Beyond his memorable roles, the montage also included footage of Walker participating in charity work. He was known and is well remembered for being a philanthropist in addition to an actor, and for co-founding Reach Out WorldWide.

The montage ends with a quote from Walker about putting good will out into the world...

We also got a glimpse of Walker accepting an MTV Movie Award. Walker and Vin Diesel shared a win in 2002 for Best On Screen Team for The Fast and the Furious. Though we didn't get to see that award -- technically listed as "Best On-Screen Duo" this year -- handed out last night, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker won it again for Fast & Furious 6. I'm assuming the category was left out of the ceremony because Vin Diesel wasn't there to accept it. "Best On-Screen Duo" was one of a few categories not featured at the awards. You can check out the full list of nominees and winners here.

Walker's film Brick Mansions is set to arrive in theaters April 25. Here's the trailer:
