Justin Timberlake once told us, "It's gonna be May," and today is the day that proves him right in 2017. So with the first month of the summer here for our amusement, it's time to take a look at what's coming to theaters yet again. Now you can go by the more expansive seasonal list we previously compiled, which is a good lay of the land for what's coming down the pike. But if you just want a quick list of options to mark down for the month of May, look no further! Here's the six big films that you'll probably want to keep an eye out for over the next 30 days.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Obviously, you knew you were going to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. But, did you know that Star-Lord and the gang are coming back on Cinco de Mayo? Something about James Gunn's return to the MCU fold just screams Margaritas at our favorite cosmic watering hole, hoping that Peter Quill might stop by and teach us some sweet dance moves. But judging by the addition of his father, Ego The Living Planet, as well as the prospect of the team saving the galaxy a second time, there may not be much time for drinks this time around.

King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword
If there's anything Hollywood has taught us over the two decades or so, it's that Guy Richie's gonna Guy Richie. He either hits it big, or strikes out hard, but either way, he gives you the movie you'd expect from him. Which is why we're excited to see that King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is heading to theaters in the near future. With action set-pieces that look pretty sweet, and a showdown promised between Charlie Hunnam and Jude Law, there's not a lot of reasons for us to pass this one up. If we did, we'd be made of stone.

Snatched
Amy Schumer. Goldie Hawn. That's basically all you need to know if you're remotely interested in Snatched, as the two comedic bigwigs are teaming up to show just how crazy one mother/daughter vacation can get. But don't think that the film's merely centered around their talents, as plenty of comedic notables like Ike Barinholtz, Joan Cusack, Randall Park, and Wanda Sykes are only some of the other players joining in on the madness. If you like some gunplay mixed with your wordplay, and your mom feels the same, this is the perfect Mother's Day gift.

Alien: Covenant
Some might say it was only a matter of time before Ridley Scott took the reins of the Alien franchise again. Well, Prometheus proved them right, and Alien: Covenant is only going to further cement that claim. While some are still worried that this will be a slightly connected / overbloated affair that the previous film was labeled as, the marketing says differently. Basically, combine the scope of Gladiator with the world of Alien, and that seems to be what we're getting here. And that's a deadly treat that we're all in for.

Baywatch
It feels like Baywatch has been talked up for so damned long by now. With a steady stream of trailers, posters, andsocial media posts, it's been hard to forget that Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, and Alexandra Daddario are coming to clean up the beach this summer. But we're not complaining, as that means we're going to start the summer off with a strong, hard R action/comedy, rather than waiting for the middle of summer to deliver us one. And from the looks of the cast involved, as well as the quality of the explosions we've seen, it's going to be strong indeed.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
The beginning of the end for the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is sailing towards us, and this time, Dead Men Tell No Tales. But apparently, they come home to their wives and sons, as Orlando Bloom's Will Turner and Keira Knightley's Elizabeth Turner are both going to show up in the film that introduces us to the adult version of their son, Henry. But of course, what's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, without Captain Jack Sparrow, or Captain Barbossa as well? It'd probably be a shorter movie, but seeing as Javier Bardem is coming into the fold as a ghastly ghost of a villain, we think we can stick around for another round of sun drenched rum.
