Don Cheadle Picked A Funny Favorite Avengers: Endgame Scene

War Machine and Rocket Raccoon in Avengers: Endgame

MCU actor Don Cheadle has been an integral part of the ridiculously successful franchise since May 2010, when he replaced Terrence Howard as Tony Stark's best friend/sidekick James “Rhodey” Rhodes in Iron Man 2. Howard left the role on bad terms, creating an opportunity for another actor to step in. Rhodey was one of the only Avengers to survive Thanos's snap (or The Blip, in Spider-Man: Far From Home lingo), making him one of the only MCU staples to participate in the entirety of Avengers: Endgame.

Not only did Don Cheadle seem to have a blast filming Avengers: Endgame, he also recently divulged his favorite moment in the movie during a brief promotional video. Admittedly, he wasn't one of the highlights of the film for me, but he has plenty of moments in earlier MCU films that rank among my favorites (such as all of his scenes in Iron Man 3 and Captain America: Civil War).

While Endgame is largely a serious affair, there are a number of chuckle-worthy moments that fans of Marvel's lighter fare will definitely appreciate. Sure, it's not Avengers: Infinity War levels of funny. That movie was unexpectedly hysterical. But this one has its moments and benefits greatly from the levity those moments bring to an otherwise bleak film. Don Cheadle's favorite scene, while not my personal favorite comedic moment, involves Scott Lang's poorly-timed Taco Bell lunch at the Avengers compound.

Don Cheadle's favorite moment was revealed on the official The Avengers Twitter page, which is currently advertising the snot out of the Endgame Blu-Ray release. You can check out the scene (and Cheadle's brief intro) below!

Paul Rudd's performances as Scott Lang/Ant-Man have been consistent sources of levity and heart that have added so much to these movies. Heck, he's a big reason why these films are so enduring and endearing. So yeah, I get where Don Cheadle is coming from with this preference. He's probably just as big a fan of Paul Rudd as I am, honestly. Can't fault him for that. The guy is a delight.

What the clip doesn't show us is the hilarious conclusion to the scene, which sees a wind-swept Lang looking dazed (and confused) before a helpful Hulk swoops in with another fully assembled taco. Cue the cheesy music. If Cheadle had included THAT, I might have agreed with him.

Captain America star Chris Evans also recently weighed in with his favorite Avengers: Endgame scene, which was pretty easy to guess.

Avengers: Endgame is now available digitally and on Blu-Ray, DVD, and 4K. Have you picked up the release yet? Checked out its many special features?
